For kids who enjoy skill-building, we offer a variety of specialty camps (that can be combined with our main camp) to fill their summer with fun.

Specialty Camps

Our programs

All camps are age-appropriate and are taught by instructors/trained professionals who specialize in those areas of interest.

Specialty camps are offered to children in grades three through six for $550 per week. Week 2 is $330.

  • Week 1 (June 24-28) Cooking Camp: Whether you dream of owning a restaurant that serves burgers and fries or running a gourmet bistro in Paris, this camp is certain to be a tasty treat. Campers will name their restaurant, plan their own menus, and cook up delicious meals that family and friends are invited to enjoy at the restaurant’s “Grand Opening” on Friday. It is sure to be a fun and exciting experience for everyone!
  • Week 2 (July 1-3) closed July 4 & 5 – Adventure Camp: Test your skills at all different adventure locations including a ropes course, ninja warrior gym and waterpark. Each day will be a different adventure. Transportation and all fees are included.
  • Week 3 (July 8-12) – Cooking Camp: It’s baking time! Whether cakes or cookies, pies or more… join us for baking GALORE! Each day will be different techniques, including following a recipe, using a mixer, oven times, kneading, rolling and shaping dough! Every day will also include cool challenges! All of this fun experience will be put to good use at the end of the week for our bake-off. We will have a competition with guest judges to award winners and it just might be you! Families are welcome to join us for the competition.
  • Week 4 (July 15-19) STEAM Camp: We partner with Snapology to bring you their Creature Creator Robotics class, your animal lover will create their own animal inspired robotic models. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, simple machines, and programming as they build insects, dolphins, gorillas, and much more. Then campers will travel around the world to discover unique aspects of different cultures. Not only will your camper be learning about world cultures and developing an appreciation for cultural differences, but they will be competing in fun challenges using LEGO®️ bricks to test their building and problem-solving skills. Minimum 8 campers. Maximum 20 campers.
  • Week 5 (July 22-26) Nature Camp: Adamah Nature Camp offers a week-long adventure connecting campers to nature through exploration, sustainable crafts, wilderness skills, and scientific discovery – all rooted in Jewish wisdom. Activities include hiking trails, exploring forests and ponds, observing wildlife, and fostering an appreciation for nature’s beauty. Participants will learn wilderness skills such as shelter building and fire creation and engage in exciting scientific experiments. The camp, led by Carly Silverman, Adamah Detroit’s Education and Program Manager with over 15 years of outdoor education experience, ensures a safe and enriching experience for young adventurers.   • Week 6 (July 29-August 2) Adventure Camp: Test your skills at all different adventure locations including a ropes course, ninja warrior gym and waterpark. Each day will be a different adventure. Transportation and all fees are included.
  • Week 7 (August 5-9) – Around The Town Camp: Get ready to jump on the bus and explore! Some places we may visit are Sky Zone, Dave and Busters, Detroit Zoo, and other fun places around the Metro Detroit area. Each day will be a different destination. Transportation and all fees are included.
  • Week 8 (August 12-16) – Art Camp: Campers will create small and large take home projects using different mediums while learning an array of art techniques.

Junior specialty camps are offered to children in first and second grades for $550 per week. Week 2 is $330.

  • Week 1 (June 24-28) Around The Town: Get ready to jump on the bus and explore! Some places we may visit are Sky Zone, Dave and Busters, Detroit Zoo, and other fun places around the Metro Detroit area. Each day will be a different destination. Transportation and all fees are included.
  • Week 2 (July 1-3) closed July 4 & 5 -Cooking Camp: Campers will learn the answers to questions like: what’s the best way to use a knife? How long does it take for water to boil? What is good kitchen cleanliness? Can you put a hardboiled egg in the microwave? During the week campers will learn their way around a kitchen, learn basic cooking methods, and simple recipes. By the end of this week, campers will be able to create a meal for their family and friends! So let’s get cooking!
  • Week 3 (July 8-12) Adventure Camp: Test your skills at all different adventure locations including a ropes course, ninja warrior gym and waterpark. Each day will be a different adventure. Transportation and all fees are included.
  • Week 4 (July 15-19) Nature Camp: Adamah Nature Camp offers a week-long adventure that integrates nature exploration, sustainable crafts, wilderness skills, and scientific discovery – all connected to Jewish wisdom! Campers will engage in activities such as bug hunts, wilderness skill-building, and eco-friendly crafts, connecting with the wonders of the natural world. Led by Carly Silverman, Adamah Detroit’s Education and Program Manager, the week promises exciting learning opportunities, including mastering wilderness skills and conducting scientific experiments. Carly, with over 15 years of outdoor education expertise and Wilderness First Responder credentials, ensures a safe and enriching experience for young adventurers.   • Week 5 (July 22-26) STEAM Camp: In Snapology’s Real World Robotics class, campers interested in technology will create robotic models inspired by real life robotic technologies. Campers will learn about gear ratio, sensors, simple machines, and programming as they build alarm devices, earthquake detectors, robotic arms, and much more. Later in the week, Snapology brings their Pokemania program, where campers will explore the Pokemon world and practice their Pokemon training skills! They will create their own training gyms, unique battles, and even their very own generation of Pokemon, all out of LEGO bricks. They will do so much more than catch them all. Minimum 8 campers. Maximum 20 campers.
  • Week 6 (July 29-August 2) Around The Town: Get ready to jump on the bus and explore! Some places we may visit are Sky Zone, Dave and Busters, Detroit Zoo, and other fun places around the Metro Detroit area. Each day will be a different destination. Transportation and all fees are included.
  • Week 7 (August 5-9) – Art Camp: Campers will create small and large take home projects using different mediums while learning an array of art techniques.
  • Week 8 (August 12-16 ) – Junior Theater: This camp is for campers who are interested in rising up to theater camp in the future! Learn dances and songs to join our Theater camp for their production and participate in both shows alongside the theater camp campers.
  • Theater Camp – (Grades 5-9) – Week 5-8 (July 22-August 16): $2,000 for 4 weeks. This 4 week session of the performing arts camp offers campers the opportunity to be a part of a full-scale theatre production. From acting work to choreography and voice training to “behind the scene” opportunities, each component of this camp helps to build self-esteem as well as confidence. This year’s show production is Finding Nemo Jr.!

  • Junior Theater – (Grades 3-4) – Week 7 & 8 (August 5-16): $1,000 for 2 weeks. This camp is for campers who are interested in rising up to theater camp in the future! Learn dances and songs to join our Theater camp for their production and participate in both shows alongside the theater camp campers.
  • Junior Theater – (Grades 1-2) – Week 8 (August 12-16): $550 for 1 week- See Jr. Specialty Camps
  • Set Building 101 – (Grades 3-4) – Week 5 & 6 (July 22-August 2): $1,000 for 2 weeks. Set building 101 will teach campers age-appropriate backstage skills with hands on experience helping create the underwater world of Finding Nemo Jr. Campers will be supporting fellow campers by assisting with the construction of the set, painting, prop construction, and more. We not only want to foster creativity backstage but the collaboration and teamwork that goes into a theatre production. Our hope is that all campers leave our theatre with a better understanding of how each piece of a production is just as important as each person who makes it possible.
