The J invites you to find your Jewish center.

Since 1926, we’ve played a central role in the physical, social, spiritual and educational well-being of the Jewish and general community of metro Detroit. And while we’ve evolved as an organization, the core of who we are has stayed the same. After decades, The J is still a place where people can find resources that nurture their souls, help them grow, build friendships, try new things, challenge themselves, share stories and learn to be better human beings. To learn more about The J, watch our brand video… and read on.

As a vibrant community center, people come here to cultivate connections, engage in learning and self-improvement, and celebrate Jewish life and culture. We offer year-round activities for families, children, teens and adults, and we’re always expanding and diversifying our offerings to ensure we provide the finest programming, events and services, while also working to be a place of Jewish values where everyone is welcome, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, ethnicity, ability or financial status. (And these are just some of the things you’ll love about The J.)

Located in West Bloomfield, our campus boasts acres of wooded greenery, walking trails and an outdoor swimming pool. The J is also home to The Berman Center for the Performing Arts, the Janice Charach Gallery, our Early Childhood Center, JCC Day Camps, the Kenny Goldman Basketball League and more.
