The power of teamwork, tradition and a winning spirit

In the Kenny Goldman Basketball League, children and young adults ages 8 to 25 will learn essential basketball skills while having fun, competing against other teams and building camaraderie. The experience includes five to six practices with eight regular season games (most on Sundays), and the top four teams in each division will then have playoffs (two more games). Registration is $175 per player and $20 for a jersey. However, if you have a jersey from a past season or your team has its own jerseys, you need not buy one.

A league of his own

The Kenny Goldman Basketball League was founded in 1989, in memory of Kenny Goldman, who tragically passed away at a young age. He was an enthusiastic basketball player, and his family wanted to preserve his memory by creating a league that would promote the sport he loved. The league started with just six teams and has grown significantly over the years – now attracting players and spectators from all over the Jewish community.

The ball is in your court.

The success of our Kenny Goldman Basketball League relies heavily on good coaching. Any parents who are interested in coaching should indicate their interest on the bottom of their child’s registration form or call Bruce Wineman at (248) 432‑5498.

549 children and young adults participated in 2023.
