Rent The Berman, our state-of-the-art entertainment venue.

The Berman Center for the Performing Arts is a state-of-the-art theater that can seat either 300 or 600 audience members. It’s located on the campus of the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit, which also houses unique meeting and reception areas.

Here, we present and produce a variety of theatrical and nontheatrical events, but our space is also available for corporate meetings, annual events, parties, receptions, commercial and film shoots, fundraisers, and concerts. See how you can rent The Berman.

Base rental fees

To rent The Berman, base rental fees include the theatre, lobby, dressing rooms, house tables and chairs, house lighting, stage with lectern, one-color lighting stage wash, projector, screen, technical supervisor, event manager, and up to six hours of use time in the space. The fees below represent our rates during evenings and weekends. Contact us for rates during regular business hours.

A deposit of 50% of the base rental fee must be received upon contract signing in order to rent The Berman. Please note: Renters must add the JCC of Metropolitan Detroit and The Berman Center for the Performing Arts to their insurance as additional insured at renter’s expense.

Additional staffing can be added to your event to support audio, lighting, stage, or video needs. Please request a quote at the time of your inquiry and we can help you navigate the best staffing for your event.
