In the Upper Gallery:
100 Moments in Mosaic Project
is a non-juried collection of work representing the full spectrum of SAMA’s diverse and richly creative membership. With SAMA’s Partners in the Arts, the Stained Glass Association of America (SGAA) an open call was made to members to create 6″ x 6″ works using materials of their choice and an original design.
The work of seasoned professionals is displayed here alongside enthusiastic newcomers to the mosaic, mixed media, stained glass, and fused glass making process, culminating in nearly 100 moments of life rendered by artists from all over the world. In the Lower Gallery:
Mosaic Arts International 2024 (MAI)
is a juried exhibition of original Mosaic and Architectural Art presented by the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA).
The exhibition features the best in contemporary fine art, architectural, community, & site-specific mosaic from SAMA’s diverse membership and celebrates established as well as emerging artists working in this traditional medium today. All segments combined represent a total between 35- 50 artists whose work reflects the multiplicity of the mosaic medium and its endless applications.
From Ancient Floors to Gallery Walls: What is Mosaic Art Now?
A panel discussion of mosaic art in the contemporary fine art world.
