POP-UP – Voices of Survival: Writings from the October 7 Hostages and their Families

Instructor: Rebecca Starr
In Eli Sharabi’s new best-selling book, (https://www.amazon.com/Hostage-Eli-Sharabi/dp/0063489791), we learn of his experiences as a captive in Gaza for 491 days. The personal narratives of former hostages and their loved ones are important to absorb as we try to comprehend the significance of their experiences. We will read excerpts from his book.
Join Rebecca Starr for a powerful and compassionate exploration of the poetry and prose of Israeli hostages, like Eli Sharabi, who were kidnapped from Israel on October 7, 2023. Through their own words, and in the words of their families and friends, we’ll reflect on how individuals relay their experiences in captivity.
This session offers a space to honor their stories and engage in meaningful conversation about the human spirit and the power of Jewish peoplehood. Tuition: $18.
All proceeds from this class to be donated to the Hostages and Missing Families Forum.
