A LITTLE BIT OF LIGHT is an art show celebrating the inner light that lives within each artist. These works were created in the Vera and Joseph Dresner Soul Studio, part of Friendship Circle, and are expressions of identity, belonging, and creativity. Through color, texture, and personal expression, they invite viewers to slow down, truly see the person behind the work, and recognize the power that comes from being seen.
Soul Studio is a supported art studio program with an open studio space and gallery for adults 18 years or older with special needs in West Bloomfield, MI.
ARTIST TALK: Sunday, March 29 @ 1 p.m.
Free to attend. Registration appreciated but not required.
Artist Spotlight: Richard Powell
A graduate of the College for Creative Studies, Richard paints contemporary portraits, figure, landscapes, still life and abstracts in a wide variety of styles. He paints multiple layered paintings to create textured compositions that are bold in color and subject.
Powell has worked in advertising and designed, concepted, and created original artwork for thousands of graphic design projects. He also does caricatures at events, weddings and more.
