Honoring Carolyn and Howard Iwrey

Honoree

Howard has been connected to The J since childhood and has served on the JCC Board for more than 20 years. He is a partner at Dykema Gossett PLLC, leading the Antitrust and Trade Regulation Group.

Carolyn has been a cornerstone of the Detroit Jewish Community since 1989 – serving on the Temple Israel Board, tutoring B’nei Mitzvah students for twenty years, and chairing the Jewish Women’s Foundation.

Both are proud University of Michigan alumni, loving parents, and newly minted grandparents. They enjoy traveling, golfing, and sailing Lake St. Clair on the Mighty Ruach 3.

Last summer, over 400 campers created unforgettable summer memories at JCC Day Camps, including 73 children with special needs. Voted 2024 Best Day Camp by the Detroit Jewish News, camp provides a transformational experience for children and teens (ages 5 to 14) and individuals with special needs (ages 5 to 28), fostering exploration, friendship, and fun.
