Located on 250 wooded acres on the campus of The J, our ACA accredited day camp program serves children and teens (ages 5 to 14), and individuals with special needs (ages 5 to 28). Here, your child can customize their summer day camp experience to reflect their interests, learn about Israeli culture and community, and make memories and friendships that last a lifetime.

Our programs
The JCC Day Camps experience caters to grade-specific social, developmental and physical needs. We help campers to achieve personal, social and physical growth whilst instilling and promoting Jewish values: Inclusivity, Community, Friendship, Fun and Personal Growth.
For rising kindergarten kids through rising 6th graders in the fall 2026
At Camp Kehilla, children express themselves, enjoy friendships, build skills, embrace diversity and feel part of a supportive community. Our experienced and trained staff help make it one of the premier camps in Metro Detroit.
For rising 1st graders through rising 6th graders for the fall of 2026
For kids who enjoy skill-building, we offer a variety of specialty camps, taught by instructors/trained professionals who specialize in those areas of interest. We offer junior specialty camps for 1-2 graders and specialty camps for 3-6 graders.
For rising 3rd graders through rising 9th graders for the fall of 2026
Our theater camps offer an exciting and immersive experience for campers entering 3rd through 9th grade in various types of camps, providing opportunities both on stage and behind the scenes. Each camp fosters creativity, collaboration, and a love for the performing arts in a fun, supportive environment!
For rising 7th graders through rising 9th graders for the fall of 2026
Teens can participate in a variety of specialty camps to build on their Cooking and STEAM knowledge and experience. Teens can also relax and socialize while going off-site to visit places such as Dave & Busters, TreeRunner Adventure Park, the Detroit Zoo, DEFY, and more.

By providing a range of programming options, support and excellent services, our special needs camp gives children and young adults a space to learn, grow and thrive. We offer an opportunity for families to connect with others facing similar challenges, share resources and experiences, and build lifelong friendships.
