DESCRIPTION:**6th Michigan Regional Glass Exhibition 2026**\n**Exhibit Dates:** May 3 – June 24\, 2026\n**Opening Reception:** Sunday\, May 3\, 1 – 4 p.m.\n**Hot Glass Demonstration by Herb Babcock:** Sunday\, May 17\, 1:30 PM\n**Lecture by Alli Hoag:** Sunday\, May 31\, 1 PM\n**Artist Talk:** Sunday\, June 7\, 2 PM \nMeet up with us at Michigan Hot Glass for a one-of-a-kind demo with glass\nartist Herb Babcock. \nRussell Industrial Center | Exhibition Center\n1600 Clay St\, Detroit\, MI 48211\n1:30 PM \nHerb received both his BFA and his MFA in Sculpture: his bachelor’s degree\nfrom the Cleveland Institute of Art and his master’s from the Cranbrook\nAcademy of Art. He also studied Sculpture at the Skowhegan School in Maine and\nGlass at the Toledo Museum of Art. \nHe is currently an independent studio artist and Professor Emeritus after 40\nyears as the Glass Department Chairman\, College for Creative Studies\, Detroit\,\nMichigan. \nHis work is represented in galleries\, museums and collections both nationally\nand internationally. His work includes large scale\, municipal public art\nprojects. Herb has a diverse body of work. His sculpture background is\npredominately metal fabrication. \nRegistration is required. \n_Special Feature in the Upper Gallery:_**“Tchotchkes”** — A tribute to Albert\nYoung\, legendary artist and founder of Michigan Hot Glass.
