DESCRIPTION:PEOPLE FIRST With Gesher Human Services\nAugust 17 – September 17\nOpening reception Sunday\, August 17\, 1-4 PM\nAwards Night September 11\, 5 PM \nVisit us at the Janice Charach Gallery for "PEOPLE FIRST\," an\nexhibition that highlights the unique artistic journeys and worldviews of\nparticipants in Gesher Human Services’ Creative Expressions Program\,\nunderscoring their commitment to putting people first. \n“PEOPLE FIRST” features artists from Gesher Human Services’ Creative\nExpressions Program. They partner with local arts organizations like the\nBirmingham Bloomfield Art Center and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra to give\npeople with disabilities the opportunity to be creative artists\, musicians\,\nwriters\, and performers. This exhibition is a showcase of the work\nparticipants have made over the past year. \nThe projects featured in this exhibition showcase each artists’ unique\npersonality and view of the world.
