SUMMARY:STORIED. The Jewish Contribution to Bob Dylan
DESCRIPTION:Storied returns to The Berman with an all new live concert experience\,\nSTORIED: The Jewish Contribution to Bob Dylan \, exploring the life\, music\,\nand meaning of Bob Dylan. Through a powerful blend of storytelling and live\nperformance\, this show uncovers the Jewish roots\, biblical influences\, and\ncultural forces that shaped one of the most influential artists of our time.\nFrom the folk scene to the poets\, the Beats\, the outcasts and outlaws\, and the\nBible\, audiences will experience how Dylan’s words became a bridge between\nancient tradition and modern music. Having been a thread running through each\nof Storied’s first five shows\, Dylan now takes center stage in a production\nthat brings together the stories\, songs\, and influences that have been hiding\nin plain sight\, but are rarely explored in one place. \nFor this special performance\, Storied founder Benji Rosenzweig is joined by\njournalist and cultural commentator Eve Barlow as co narrator\, adding a\ndynamic new perspective to the storytelling experience. Together\, they guide\naudiences through Dylan’s journey\, from protest anthems and biblical imagery\nto questions of identity\, purpose\, and authenticity. More than a concert\, this\nis an exploration of how music\, meaning\, and heritage intersect\, and an\ninvitation to reflect on how each of us can use our own voice and talents to\nmake an impact. \nThis concert will spotlight different aspects of Jewish identity as it\nintersects with the artist’s career\, exploring themes of community\,\nspirituality\, and resilience. “Music has always been a bridge between\ncultures\, and…music resonates deeply throughout the Jewish experience\,” says\nBenji Rosenzweig\, STORIED. Co-Creator and host of the evening. “We are\nexcited to continue creating a space where these stories can be heard and\ncelebrated through the universal language of music.” \nThis unforgettable evening promises a journey through music and storytelling\nas we honor the bonds between Jewish culture and reggae. In a setting similar\nto MTV _ Unplugged _meets VH1 Storytellers \, the band and Benji will go\nback and forth between storytelling and music. Don’t miss out on this fourth\nsession of STORIED\, a concert series audiences are raving about: \n“This program was great. The music was AMAZING. We were all rocking out and\nthey could not have been more fabulous. I loved all the stories!” – Grunge\nSession attendee \nStudent access opportunities supported by Jenny and Shimon Levy \nView event on Jlive: https://jlive.app/events/17079
